This is a 1978-S Kennedy Half Dollar graded PR69DCAM (Proof 69 Deep Cameo) by PCGS, a nearly perfect proof coin with a highly reflective surface and excellent contrast between the frosted design elements and the mirrored fields.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin features a portrait of President John F. Kennedy, designed by Gilroy Roberts. Above Kennedy’s portrait is the inscription "LIBERTY," and the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is split on either side of his neck. The date “1978” appears at the bottom of the obverse.

Reverse: The reverse, designed by Frank Gasparro, depicts a modified version of the Presidential Seal, featuring a heraldic eagle clutching an olive branch and a bundle of 13 arrows. Surrounding the eagle are 50 stars, representing the 50 states of the United States. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "HALF DOLLAR" encircle the design.

Certification & Grade: This coin is graded PR69DCAM by PCGS, signifying a near-flawless coin with excellent eye appeal and sharp contrast. PR69 is one point below perfect, and the Deep Cameo (DCAM) designation reflects the strong frosted and mirrored finish that collectors prize in proof coins.
